Statement from UCR Police Chief regarding the earthquake on 7/29/08:
"At approximately 11:42 am PDT today, there was a 5.8 magnitude earthquake that originated about 2 miles near Chino Hills, CA. No damage has been reported on campus and we will continue to assess the impact. The campus remains open. Go to http://quake.wr.usgs.gov/recenteqs/latest.htm for additional information."
