NEED SOME HISTORY?Take HIST 186 - Modern Southeast Asia, 1800 to Present. This 4-unit class studies the formation of modern Southeast Asian nations and cultures since 1800. The course compares colonial and post-colonial experiences in the region, studying the formation of nationalist movements and the relationship of nationalist history with traditional and local histories.
